National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art presents the exhibition
RHEE Seundja : Road to the Antipodes to celebrate RHEE Seundja(b.1918-2009)'s 100 years anniversary of her birth.
Rhee Seundja moved to France in 1951 and showed active work practices for 60 years.
She presented the unique oeuvres in the extensive range of works from oil, acrylic, printmaking, pottery to mosaicpassing between Korea and France.
She was the only one who was invited to Ecole de Paris as a Korean artist,
and took part in solo exhibition over 80 times and group exhibition over 300 times.
This exhibition reviews RHEE Seundja's artworks and identifies its meaning on the context of the history of Korean art.
